The Nature Crime Alliance, in partnership with Global Forest Watch (GFW), is hosting an information exchange with members and other key stakeholders on the use of geospatial monitoring in countering forest crime.

The session will see practitioners share their experiences of applying these technologies in contexts such as illegal logging and mining, and the lessons they have learned that could support others’ efforts elsewhere.

  • Caitlin Eschmann, Executive Director, and Paul Salaman, President, Conservation Allies
  • Betty Rubio, Technology Transfer Specialist, Napo River Basin, Organisation of Indigenous Peoples of the East (ORPIO), Peru
  • Danger Gomez, Head of Geospatial Information Systems, National Forest Institute (INAB), Guatemala

There will be presentations in English and Spanish, with live interpretation into French, Spanish and English available. Join us on Zoom at 10am ET/ 4pm CET on Tuesday 21 April.
