Crimes associated with fishing
Crimes associated with fishing threaten food supply and destabilise delicate ecosystems upon which we all depend
Illegal forms of fishing rob countries of revenues and coastal communities of their livelihoods and sustenance, giving rise to social and economic challenges. Human rights abuses are common onboard fishing vessels operating illegally.
